Everyone is starting that search.... the search for recipes for the holiday season!! Or if your like me, I've been collecting recipes all year and now is the time to sift through and test them out!
I love food and love cooking, but I really enjoy baking! When concepting for a holiday baking shot, I knew the location we were shooting in had a great carrara marble countertop. I didn't want to cover too much up.... but if your holiday baking, you want your cookies to "pop off" the surface. You know what I'm talking about, right? A sugar cookie dough would just blend in... that wouldn't be cute. So, I scoured recipes I had saved and came to this perfect option.
When I'm styling I really want the shot to be "as real" as possible.... that means for this shot, real food or in this case, REAL cookies & cookie dough! Of course I had to be the "head taste tester!" ;-)
These cookies are not only beautiful in color, texture... but the taste! It tastes like an amazing shortbread!! So add these to your upcoming holiday baking plans asap!! Next time I'm going to make these into smaller circles and add some chocolate buttercream which would be fun to have a shortbread sandwich style cookie! Might have to post that later... #notetoself
